Ya know, that second video was great! I always thought of tablature as a crutch, and thought, I need to stop using this and learn to play by the notation. But, I never thought of it the way @BanjoBen explained it. There are so many ways to get the same note on a banjo, guitar, etc. and the notation doesn’t tell you where the most efficient place is, to get that particular pitch. Great video!!!

  18. Andy Carson ·

Hey @Michael_Mark how are you creating those pdf tabs ? I’ve been using tableditdemo version but I want to tab stuff just don’t want to pay money for it . Just curious what you use .

  19. Michael Mark Leader ·

Those are all created with the paid version of TablEdit, but if you want to tab things out for free, check out Soundslice, which is a web-based tab program that also lets you sync the tabs to a video or audio recording. It’s great and I love using it to tab things out to live on the web. You do have to have a paid subscription to export PDF, though. Tuxguitar is free and I believe it lets you export PDF.

Thanks a lot that is very helpful .
