Jingle Bells– Tony Wray Banjo Solo

banjo intermediate

In this lesson

The festive and incomparable Tony Wray is back in the Cabin, this time teaching a sentimental version of "Jingle Bells" in the key of D. Does Tony remind anyone else of a biker Santa? Also, check out the mp3's for a Tony original!

My fingers know it but my brain doesn't yet — I can't play it without the tab in front of me. How do you all commit these to memory?

Count it out loud. Everyone says it and everyone's right.

Try measure 3 on its own at half tempo, and keep your right hand rolling even when the left hand is behind. The right hand is the metronome.
