Liberty

mandolin beginner

In this lesson

This is a really old tune with a varied history. It's had lots of different names as its popularity spread around the world. It's in the key of D and only has the three basic chords, so it's pretty simple to play.

Anybody have a tip for the left hand stretch in here? My pinky is not cooperating.

Metronome at 60 and no faster until it's clean twice through. Boring but it works.

There's a slower track in the resources for this one. If you want it slower still, let me know and I'll cut one.

Take the capo off and play it in open G a few times, then put it back. Helped me hear it.
