This song was actually written in the late 1800's and made famous by American composer John Philip Sousa. But that hasn't kept it from leaking over into bluegrass circles, where I think it belonged in the first place! This is a great song in the key of C that helps you concentrate on speed and power!

Try it without the pick for a few passes. Sounds silly but it told me my right hand was doing too much.

Try measure 3 on its own at half tempo, and keep your right hand rolling even when the left hand is behind. The right hand is the metronome.
