Bill Cheatham

mandolin intermediate

In this lesson

Due to its fiddle tune structure of AABB, I'm able to offer you a lot of variety in one version that you can freely use to make your own version or supplement one you already play! I'll teach you in the video how to substitute the parts, and come up with a version of Bill Cheatham that you'll really enjoy!

My fingers know it but my brain doesn't yet — I can't play it without the tab in front of me. How do you all commit these to memory?

There's a slower jam track under the resources tab on this lesson, worth grabbing.

Don't force the pinky stretch. Move your thumb down behind the neck first and the stretch mostly takes care of itself.
