mandolin intermediate

In this lesson

I've taught this song on banjo and guitar, then one of my members reminded me that I hadn't taught it on mandolin! Shame on me! So, here's a great intermediate version of this classic fiddle tune in the key of A. I know you're gonna love it!

Ben, this one finally made the timing click for me. Been fighting it for a month. Thank you.

Try it without the pick for a few passes. Sounds silly but it told me my right hand was doing too much.

Same here at first. What fixed it for me was practicing that measure by itself for a week, no B part at all.

Try measure 3 on its own at half tempo, and keep your right hand rolling even when the left hand is behind. The right hand is the metronome.
