Devil's Dream

mandolin intermediate

In this lesson

This is a classic fiddle tune that every picker should have under their belt! I've built this break to suit pickers of all levels. The first "A" and "B" parts are straight ahead melody, while the second "A" and "B" parts stretch the boundaries a bit. This way, a beginner can learn the first "A" and "B" parts and simply repeat them to play the full song, while an intermediate or advanced picker can steal some sweet licks from the second parts! Enjoy!

Got about 80% of this one down but the third measure keeps tripping me. Anybody else find that part awkward at speed?

There's a slower jam track under the resources tab on this lesson, worth grabbing.

Answered over in the tab thread too, but short version: play what's comfortable, the tab is a map not a law.
