I have one rule about teaching theory. You have to be able to use it, and this you can use. It's a huge lesson but I'll introduce you to pentatonic scales, how to play open & closed positions, transpose, speed exercise, then a challenge on beginning to use them in your playing.

Anybody have a tip for the left hand stretch in here? My pinky is not cooperating.

Try it without the pick for a few passes. Sounds silly but it told me my right hand was doing too much.

Memorization comes from playing it at a tempo you can think at. If you need the tab, you're playing it faster than you know it.
