It's important for banjo players to know and HEAR the difference between eighth and sixteenth note ornaments (hammers, slides, and pull-offs). In this lesson we'll first learn the timing theory, then play some licks & exercises to help you remember it.

Try measure 3 on its own at half tempo, and keep your right hand rolling even when the left hand is behind. The right hand is the metronome.
