https://banjobenclark.com/lessons/what-child-is-this-greensleeves-basic-banjo Merry Christmas! This basic version sticks VERY close to the melody and is in the traditional waltz timing of 3/4.

@BanjoBen Hey, quick question- should I be memorizing the tab to each lesson to get better at the banjo? I’ve made it all the way through the beginner course by learning to play the songs, being able to play along with the tracks. I just can’t memorize what I played. Is this okay? I would eventually love to be able to improvise on the banjo. Anyways, Thank you so much for all you do. I appreciate the amazing lessons!

Nope, you don’t have to memorize them If you’re going to memorize anything memorize how the melodies sound.

Hi Ben, the links for the tabs on this lesson appear to be dead. Can we fix that?

Ben Clark Leader · 23 Sep

Howdy @mattradlinski! They will time out if your browser window is open too long, please refresh your browser and you should be good to go!

Matt Radlinski · 23 Sep

Thanks Ben, that fixed it. Loving the website, keep up the good work

I really enjoy your website, thank you. Would it be possible to make your rhythm sections loop?

Archie Cairns Leader · 4 Feb

Hi @smoore Stephen to @BanjoBen 's Forum If you download the MP3 Files I am pretty sure you can loop them in Audacity https://www.audacityteam.org/
